Hike Messenger has announced that it has crossed 100 million user mark in India. It also said that the service is now logging a monthly messaging volume of 40 billion messages, which has doubled since August 2015.

Crossing 100 million users is a big milestone for us and we have achieved this well ahead of our expectations. Hikers aren’t only messaging and calling on Hike, they’re also reading News on Hike in Hindi and English, viewing live Cricket scores, getting inspired on Hike Daily, transferring huge files without internet on Hike Direct and so on. Hike has emerged as a true platform over the last year and in 2016 we’re going to double down.”
According to the data revealed by Hike, 90 per cent of its users are under the age of 30 and the same percentage based in India. In addition to this, Hike users have transferred close to 10 million files (more than 200 Terabytes of data) since the launch of the messaging service in October 2015.
