Google Meet gets revamped call screen and a “New” button
Google Meet also added a new "Code" button that lets you quickly join a meeting from the app's homescreen.

(Image Source: Google) Google Meet, the popular video calling and conferencing app is getting a redesigned call screen, giving the app a modern look and feel. Last year, the tech giant added a new “New” button for enterprise users, and now the feature is rolling out for those on the free tier.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the “New” floating button appears at the bottom right corner, tapping on which will take you to a new revamped “Start a call” screen where the “Search contacts or dial” option is now in a pill shaped box.

You also get big Create link, Schedule and New group buttons, which are in-line with Google’s Material 3 guidelines. Instead of “Connect on Meet,” users will be greeted with “Suggestions” that replaces the list of contacts on Google Meet with huge easy to press buttons.
