Apple has released iOS 10.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This is the second major update for iOS 10 since it was released in October. iOS 10.2 brings several new features and bug fixes for problems caused with the earlier 10.1.1 update.

For starters, the camera app now allows users to preserve the last used camera settings. Live Photos have been improved as well with better stabilization and now deliver a faster frame rate. Apple’s new update also fixed an issue where Memories generated a memory from screenshots, whiteboards or receipts. It also fixes the issue where the camera would stay zoomed in, after switching back from the camera roll on the iPhone 7 Plus.

Apple is also introducing the Unicode 9.0 emoji standard, which basically means 100 new icons including new faces, food, animals, sport, and professions. In iOS 10.2, Apple has added three new wallpapers for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

In case of iMessages app, it now has new love and celebration full-screen effects. It also fixes an issue that prevented the keyboard from displaying inside messages in some cases.

Apple has also fixed some bugs in the Mail app; this includes the issue with long press activating copy and paste in Mail. It also fixes a problem where the wrong message would be selected after deleting a Mail conversation thread. iOS 10.2 also fixes the issue that caused the Move sheet to show for long after sending a message via mail.

The other major bug fix is around Safari, where some articles opened as empty pages. The update also corrects the issue where the browser would quit unexpectedly after a user marked an item in the Reading List as read.
