Android N’s biggest update could well be the modified notification panel. According to a report at Android Police, the next version of Android will feature a lighter shade and full-width notifications.

Android N is expected to make its first public debut during Google I/O 2016. Ahead of Google’s annual developer conference, screenshots have started surfacing which give a glimpse of the new Android operating system.

Earlier, Android Police revealed a new change which brings hamburger menu everywhere in the OS. Now the new notification panel shows full-width icons, and each item is getting separated.

The biggest change is the colour text element, which links to the app displaying the notification. Also, Google is making the app icons smaller thus making space for more items in the listing.

This change is based on an earlier version, and Google could be working on further changes to the update. Android 6.0 Marshmallow commands just 1.2 percent of market share and Google is already working on next version.

The most interesting thing will be whether Google ever succeeds in putting its new OS of most devices.
