The micro blogging site tweeted out saying, “Ready to go live? Now everyone can tap a new button on iOS & Android to easily broadcast on #Periscope from Twitter!” Check out the tweet here:

Twitter users will now not need to switch apps to go live. Now, while composing a new tweet, users will see the feature to go live with Periscope, along with other options to add video, photo etc. It will, however prompt non Periscope users to download the app first.
Twitter had earlier started rolling out a Periscope live-streaming button within its iOS app for select users. We had spotted the ‘Go Live’ button for Periscope in the iOS app on an iPhone 6s Plus. Now, it is available across Android and for all iOS users.
Facebook’s Live video feature is already available to all of its 1 billion plus users, across Android and iOS and is gaining popularity. Twitter, which is struggling with engagement and has been trying to boost users, was always the platform about ‘more live’ updates.
Now by integrating a Periscope button with its main app, it wants to make sure it doesn’t lose the momentum on live video to Facebook.
