The online portal aims to create a platform that will showcase the works of amateur, semi-professional and professional photographers. Users can also buy photos, choose the canvas on which they want the photos to be printed and get them delivered at their place.
Picsdream made its launch debut on Wednesday and is hosting a five day long photography exhibition at India Habitat Centre. A music-drama production ‘Imago’, which traces the history of image from cave paintings to selfie phenomena, will also be showcased during the festival.
“My vision for Picsdream is to create a platform which would be the biggest platform for the Indian visual art community. Starting with photographs, then videos and then to other forms of visual art, Picsdream would be the largest community and marketplace for visual arts in India,” said Mahesh Nair, Founder and CEO, Picsdream.
Picsdream will allow photographers to upload hi-resolution pictures and videos in bulk and share them on various social media platforms.
