Hello Games’ intergalactic explorer game, No Man’s Sky has been a hit and miss with players since its launch on August 8. The game is a first-person open world game about survival, planetary exploration and new discoveries in an uncharted part of the universe. No Man’s Sky gives the player an opportunity to explore over 18 quintillion planets in the universe, each unique and different in its own way. Each planet is rich of certain minerals, has its own animals, plants. But, this game is not action packed as some players have recently figured out.
It has become a running joke on the Internet, that the best thing to do with the game is to redeem your money by returning it. The indie-type game had seen interest from millions of gamers across the globe, but many of them did not realise what the game exactly was, and have given it bad reviews. The game is certainly not for everyone.
If you are someone who wants to play action packed games, or enjoy multiplayer modes, need set goals/ defined storyline, and love your achievements and progress to be fast; this game might not be suited for you. Imagine a lonely kid playing in a sandbox, enjoying his time finding pebbles, twigs, among other things and not getting bored for hours. If you have the patience and the curiosity of that kid, the game might be for you. Since there are no set goals, no set story – a player has the freedom to travel wherever he wants, do whatever he feels like in a game that has no real blueprint on how to play.
You will love the game if you are someone who loves to explore, can enjoy making your own goals and objectives and be happy achieving them, have a curious mind that loves to tinker with gadgets, endlessly modifying them to be better, and have a lot of patience; then you will probably enjoy the game. The game will not tell you what you can do, but it will let you explore the universe on your own guts and imagination.
No Man’s Sky was suppose to launch in India on August 13, but online retail portals show that the game is still available on pre-order.
