Instagram will now support multiple accounts, the photo-sharing site announced in its blog post. Users can now add up to five accounts on Instagram and switch between them easily, the company said.
To add multiple accounts, a user first needs to go to app settings and select ‘Add account’. Instagram will then take users to a fresh login page, wherein they will be required to enter credentials of other accounts. The feature will be available as part of Instagram version 7.15 for both Android and iOS users.
The multiple account feature is especially useful for people who wish to keep their private and professional lives separate on Instagram. Users can switch between their accounts without having to log out from any one of them.
The app now shows all the accounts in single view by just clicking on the username. Users will see their profile photo appear in places throughout the app so that they can always tell which one they are using at the moment, the blog post said.
