Indian fathers tend to have a way with words, and there are some universal responses we’ve all come to expect from our dads. Now virtual-assistant app Haptik has a created a special Baap Bot to help remind you of dad on father’s day.
The bot gives quirky, sarcastic responses just like your father would. Ask the ‘baap’ bot for a new phone, and he’ll remind you money doesn’t grow on bushes, which is pretty close to how your father might answer.
According to Haptik, over 30% of tasks/chats today on the app are completed by the bots, and thus it made sense for them to write a Baap Bot.
Haptik’s blog describes the idea behind the chatbot noting this, “bot has been wired up like every neighbourhood Papa.”
“Most Indian Dads (if not all) are known for their sarcastic, witty and punny comebacks…Not to mention, all of us have grown up listening to the weirdly appealing mix of gyan, minor threats, major concerns and hilarious rants,” reads the blog.
