Facebook’s photo sharing app Moments now allows users to share a web link to their albums with anyone. According to an IANS report, users can access the new feature by either pulling up one of their existing albums or create a new one.
Facebook Moments app, which allowed sharing photos or albums with select Facebook users only, is now available for users who aren’t on the social networking platform as well. Once you select an album to be shared, you need to click on the three dots at the bottom-right of the screen, following which a new ‘Share Link’ option will appear. The ‘Share Link’ option will provide you with an URL that can be shared with other on web via mail or message.
Also, Facebook has now added support for full-resolution photos in it Moments app. There’s a new ‘Favourites’ tab as well. Facebook Moments ‘Favourites’ tab allows users to save their photos in full resolution within 30 days of upload.
Facebook’s Moments app was announced in June, 2015 as a platform to make sharing private photos easier. The biggest advantage with Moments app is that you can share photos between friends without necessarily posting everything to Facebook. Moments app is a great option for users who want to share their private albums with their friends and family but not put them out there on Facebook for everyone to see.
According to reports, the social media giant has been pushing its users to download Moments app. Facebook reportedly sent out warnings to users that some photos will be deleted by July 7 if the app is not installed.
