Xiaomi will be launching its Mi Mix 3 smartphone in China on October 25. The company has released a television commercial video confirming the device’s design a day ahead of its launch. The commercial video showcases how the display slider design functions, revealing the front camera module. This is the first time we will be seeing a manual slide out camera in a smartphone.
In the television commercial, it can be noticed that the device doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor on the back as was reported earlier. This might indicate that the new Mi Mix 3, like the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro, might come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 launch event being held in Beijing, China will commence at 2 pm local time or 11:30 am IST. The event will be livestreamed by Xiaomi on their official website and YouTube channel.
According to earlier reports, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. But there are doubts over reports that the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The device will come with 6GB/8GB/10GB of RAM along with 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Mi Mix 3 will come with 10GB of RAM and will support 5G networks.
It will sport a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 16MP primary sensor along with a 13MP secondary sensor. On the front, it will feature a 24MP sensor for taking selfies. The device will run Google’s Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the company’s own MIUI skin on top.
