
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with an Intel Atom processor and Windows 10 option has been announced in China along with the new Redmi Note 3.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 64GB version will come with an option to run Windows 10 OS as well, which is a first for the Chinese tech company.
The new Mi Pad 2 comes with a full metal body, but Xiaomi claims that this is one is 18 per cent thinner and 38 g lighter than the original Mi Pad.
The Mi Pad has a 7.9-inch screen with 2045×1536 pixels resolution which comes to 326 ppi. It runs the Intel Atom 64-bit X5-Z8500 2.24Ghz processor with Intel HD graphics. The Mi Pad has 2GB RAM and it will come in 16GB and 64GB options.
Mi Pad 2 also comes with an 8 mp rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It has a 6190mAh battery and Xiaomi is promising 12.5 hours of reading, video time. Xiaomi has also gone for USB Type-C charging with the new tablet. For connectivity the Mi Pad 2 supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1.
The Mi Pad 2 comes win silver, grey and champagne gold. Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 16GB starts at 999 yuan which is around Rs 10,300. The 64GB Mi Pad 2 will cost 1299 Yuan which comes to Rs 13477, and the price is the same for the Windows 10 version as well.
