Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launch in China, Price, Specifications, Features highlights: Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has launched at an event in Beijing.  With Mi Mix 3, Xiaomi will be introducing a phone that offers 5G connectivity for the first time, though this variant will only come in 2019. Mi Mix 3 also has a Palace Variant with 10GB RAM.

Mi Mix 3 sports a retractable module at the top, which holds the phone’s front camera sensor. Xiaomi has gone for dual front cameras and dual rear cameras as well. Mi Mix 3 will be available in four storage options: 6GB RAM/128GB memory, 8GB RAM/128GB memory, 8GB RAM/256GB memory and 10GB RAM/256GB memory. The phone has been priced at 3299 yuan (Rs 34,800 approx), 3599 yuan (Rs 37,980 approx.), 3999 yuan (Rs 42,210 approx.) and 4999 yuan (Rs 52,750 approx.)

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 China launch: Accessories, new Mi speaker announced

As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi has also introduced a new Qi-based wireless charging pad, that can provide 10W output for Mi Mix 3. In addition, the Chinese company has also introduced a queer camera accessory, as well as a new Mi speaker. Both might be available for sale in the coming days, with the products expected to be Mi Store exclusives. While the Mi speaker has been priced at 49 yuan (Rs 520 approx.), the Mi camera accessory will be worth 9.99 yuan (Rs 105 approx.)

Xiaomi has also introduced the Mi Mix 3 Palace Edition, that will offer 10GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The special edition comes with support for 5G connectivity. This variant will also support 10W wireless charging. Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone's price will be 4999 yuan.

The phone also features super slow motion at 960fps.

Mi Mix 3 features four cameras - two on the front and two on the back. The dual front cameras are 24MP 2MP. The dual rear cameras come with a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, having a lens of 1.6 microns. The secondary 12MP sensor comes with a f/2.4 aperture and a lens of 1.0 micron. The phone's rear cameras come with AI-based features, as well as HDR support and slow-motion videos at 960 fps.      The dual rear cameras remain vertically stacked, while the dual front sensors are part of the retractable module.

Xiaomi has now unveiled the Mi Mix 3. The company is touting Mi Mix 3 as a device with the highest screen-to-body ratio among flagship phones, including iPhone XS Max, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and Huawei P20 Pro, as well as Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex. The phone comes with thin bezels and features 6.39-inch AMOLED display. It has a screen to body ratio of 93.4 per cent. The screen aspect ratio is 19.5:9.

Xiaomi has also confirmed that Mi Mix 3 will support 5G network connectivity. This has been confirmed via social media by the company's Director for Product Management, Donovan Sung. In addition, Sung's posts also mention the presence of 10GB RAM on this phone, which could also be an industry first. These features sound intimidating and are likely to be backed by a new Snapdragon processor. All in all, the information suggests that the phone could have robust capabilities. 

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launch in China: What could retractable camera module hold?

Xiaomi has been teasing the Mi Mix 3 for a while, and the company has actively promoted the retractable module that pops up over the display. As per the pictures leaked so far, we can confirm that the front camera lens is a part of it, though there seems to be more than one sensor in sight. If rumours are to be believed, those could hold support for 3D facial recognition. Xiaomi, meanwhile, has left fans guessing on how the added sensors would function.

Mi Mix 3 features a 6.39-inch SAMOLED FHD+ display, with screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone comes with an all-glass body, and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4 per cent. The phone runs the Snapdragon 845 processor, and will come with 6GB/8GB/10GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage options. Mi Mix 3 supports 10W wireless charging with Qi support.

The Mi Mix 3 10GB variant has been confirmed to offer 5G connectivity. The device, called Mi Mix 3 Palace edition, will only be made available in the first quarter of 2019. The phone will come with dual rear cameras of 12MP+12MP configuration, as well as dual front cameras with 24MP+2MP sensors.
