Xiaomi recently announced that most of the photography features seen in Mi Mix 3, will be making their way on to Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S in terms of software updates.

Xiaomi has started rolling out Night Scene photography feature from the Mi Mix 3 to Mi Mix 2S and Mi 8. The feature is a part of MIUI China developer ROM according to a report by XDADevelopers. The Night Scene photography feature helps in enhancing low light shots taken with the device. It utilises AI and computational tricks for increasing the amount of light in an image.

Xiaomi is likely to add more photography features of the Mi Mix 3 to the Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S smartphones in the coming days, given the company had announced the same earlier. Xiaomi is touting Mi Mix 3 as one of the best smartphone cameras in the market, though the phone has not launched beyond China. The company even compared Mi Mix 3’s camera to Huawei P20 Pro during its launch event.

Additionally, MIUI developer beta update adds an enhanced low light mode, which reportedly will work in a similar manner. It also adds back the capability of turning off the portable hotspot automatically after the user saves a new password.
