Samsung has launched a new clamshell phone, called W2019. The phone comes with two displays and the physical keypad. The South Korean major is yet to confirm the price of the smartphone, but we do know that it will be exclusive to China Unicom. The price of the Samsung W2019 is expected to be upwards of 10,000 yuan (or approx Rs 104,182.
The W2019 is made of two 4.2-inch Super AMOLED displays, both having a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Samsung has confirmed that it will run the Snapdragon 845 processor and a 3070mAh battery. The W2019 clamshell phone comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage as well as expandable storage through a microSD slot. It comes with Bixby support, though it does not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In terms of design, the device images show a bend of the phone around the rectangular hinge, which has antenna lines running along it. Besides, the phone appears to have a plastic body with a metallic finish, though details of the same remain unconfirmed. This Samsung phone comes with a dual rear camera configuration consisting of 12MP+12MP cameras. The phone also features an 8MP front camera.
The Samsung W2019 clamshell has dimensions of 132.9 x 63.4 x 17.3mm. The phone comes in two colour variants: Rose Gold and Platinum. Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, NFC support, and a type-C USB port for charging, audio support and data transfer are among its connectivity modes. The clamshell smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
