Samsung has launched the mini version of its flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone in India. The Galaxy S5 Mini will be available from September 10 at a price of Rs. 26,499 at Flipkart. The smartphone will be available in four trendy colours – charcoal Black, shimmery White, electric Blue and copper Gold.
Galaxy S5 Mini comes with a 4.5-inch HD super AMOLED screen and is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor along with 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM which can be expanded up to 64GB. Galaxy S5 Mini also comes equipped with a 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2.1MP front camera.
Running Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS and Samsung’s TouchWiz UX, the Galaxy S5 Mini come with a built-in heart rate monitor and full compatibility with Samsung’s wearable devices.
The soft texture coating on the back cover comes with a special gloss that gives the Galaxy S5 Mini the look and feel of metallic leather and has anti-slip properties.
The device is water and dust resistance. Samsung has addressed the increasing demands of customers for extended battery life by using Samsung’s low-power, Super AMOLED display technology that requires very little power, but still keeps images bright and sharp at HD resolution.
It is powered by a 2100 mAh battery. The battery life has been further enhanced with the unique Ultra Power Saving Mode, which leaves only the most essential functions enabled, such as phone calls, text messages, or the Internet.
It also switches the display to black and white, thus, significantly extending the battery life.
