Samsung Galaxy A9 with four rear cameras will launch in India on November 20, as per a report by news agency, IANS. It adds that Galaxy A9 will be aggressively priced at around Rs 35,000 to take on smartphones from OnePlus and Oppo. Samsung Galaxy A9 will be available in three gradient colour options – Caviar Black, Bubblegum Pink and Lemonade Blue.
A 91mobiles report claimed earlier this month that the phone will come with a price tag similar to OnePlus 6T in India. According to the report, Galaxy A9 could retail for a price at Rs 39,000. The site claims to have found a source code on Samsung India official website, which only has one price tag indicating this price is for the base model with 6GB RAM.
To recall, Samsung Galaxy A9 made its official debut last month at an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is the world’s first smartphone to feature four rear cameras. The quad cameras on the phone, which are stacked vertically consist of a 24MP AF primary sensor with f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and f/2.4, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide 120-degree lens, f/2.4 and a 5MP sensor for depth effect. The front camera is 24MP with f/2.0 aperture.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Both the variants will be available with 128GB storage option. The storage is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS and comes with a 3,800mAh battery.
