Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) India launch Nov 20: Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), the first quad-camera smartphone is set to debut in India on November 20. The smartphone was originally launched at Samsung’s “4X Fun” event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this October. Galaxy A9 sports four-rear cameras, which are aligned vertically at the top left corner.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display, and runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. Reports have suggested that the new Galaxy A9 (2018) could be priced in India in the sub Rs 40,000 price bracket. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018): Expected price in India

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) could likely come for a price at around Rs 35,000 in India, as per an IANS report. However, in a previous report, 91Mobiles suggested that the handset could tag a price of Rs 39,000. The report claimed to have found the price in a source code on Samsung India official website.

Flipkart has created a landing page for the new Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) which indicates that the handset will be available on the e-commerce platform. Meanwhile, Amazon India has also put a ‘Notify Me’ page for the phone live on its platform. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) comes in Pink, Black, and Blue colour options.

Samsung Galaxy A9’s USP is the four camera set-up at the back. The quad cameras on the phone comprise of a 24MP AF primary sensor with f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and f/2.4, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide 120-degree lens, f/2.4 and a 5MP sensor for depth of field. Up front, the phone has a 24MP camera that comes with f/2.0 aperture.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018): Design and display

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a tall body in a compact form factor. The phone has glass construction and a metal chassis surrounding the perimeters. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is present at the centre of the back panel.

The Bixby button is located on the left side, while the volume keys and power button sit on the right side. The phone features an elongated display with sleek bezels at the sides and rounded corners. However, chunky bezels could be housing top and bottom part of the front fascia.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. The display has an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. It comes with a pixel density of 392ppi.
