Exploding phones seem to be the buzzword for the year 2016. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7, believed to be the best Android phone of the year, is now out of production thanks to a faulty battery issue. In the Note 7’s case the original and replacement phones kept overheating, catching fire and exploding in some incidents.

Check out Tanvir Sadiq’s tweets below

In one incident in the US, the Galaxy Note 7 burnt down a jeep while it was left on a charge inside, in another a garage caught fire due to the phone. Samsung was eventually forced to end the recall and stop all production for the smartphone after it failed to figure out accurately what caused the issue in the first place. Soon after there were reports of at least one Apple iPhone catching fire.

With the Reliance Lyf phone, it is not clear which device has exploded and how. Further updates are awaited.
