Realme U1 has been spotted while being used by the company’s CEO Madhav Sheth, as reported by 91mobiles. Sheth was seen using a gold coloured Realme phone at the recently held Exhibit Tech Awards 2018 held in Mumbai. The Oppo sub-brand will launch Realme U1 at an event on October 28.
Based on the images shared, Realme U1 will have a horizontally stacked dual-rear camera setup, as well as a glass-like back. The phone can also be seen with a fingerprint sensor at the back, while the Gold colour option also hints at the device being new.
From what one can see, the back resembles that of Realme 2 Pro. The device’s front, though, is not visible, suggesting that the images could be of Realme U1.

Later, Sheth shared a selfie on Twitter, after Realme won two awards at the event. The post comes with an image having the ‘Shot on Realme U1’ watermark, as well as the statement “We will keep providing products that will surprise you. Are U ready?”. From the image shared by Sheth, it appears that Realme U1 could have a wide-angle front camera.
Realme U1 will be the company’s first phone from the ‘U’ series, and is expected to feature the MediaTek Helio P70 processor. This Realme phone might feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, and could feature 4GB RAM as well as a 4230mAh battery. The phone could be priced around Rs 15,000 and will be an Amazon.in exclusive.
