Qualcomm has all but officially confirmed that the one OnePlus 3T smartphone will be launching soon and that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC. Qualcomm’s tweet read as, “Something new from @OnePlus is on the way… and it’s powered by our #Snapdragon 821 processor. Stay tuned.” In comparison, the OnePlus 3 is running on a Snapdragon 820 SoC.
The existence of the OnePlus 3T was also confirmed by noted tipster Evan Blass, who said that the OnePlus 3T will be priced $80 higher than the first generation OnePlus 3. This entails that the OnePlus 3 could be priced at $479 (approx Rs 32,000). The phone is expected to be a slight upgrade over the OnePlus 3 and might be heading for a launch this month.
Other the new SoC, the OnePlus 3T is rumoured to be running Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. The phone is also expected to feature Sony’s IMX398 sensor 16MP camera sensor.
OnePlus 3 was launched at Rs 27,999 as an Amazon exclusive in India mid-2016. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor that has been coupled with an Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

A recent report has also shed light on the OnePlus 4, which is expected to come in 2017. The device is expected to be running on a Snapdragon 830 SoC clocked at 3GHz, and will be coming with an Adreno 620 GPU. The phone is also rumoured to come with a 25 per cent larger battery compared to the OnePlus 3 at 4000 mAh.
