OnePlus 3T marks a jump in processor, front camera and battery compared to the earlier flagship.
OnePlus had announced a ‘Truth or Dare’ contest on its official Facebook page for revealing the date of the new phone. OnePlus 3T features a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 401 ppi pixel density. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and the overall design, weight of the phone is the same as the earlier flagship.
In terms of specifications, OnePlus 3T features a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35Ghz with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory options with UFS 2.0. The front camera is also 16MP in the OnePlus 3T smartphone, which is a bump from the 8MP front camera on the earlier version of the smartphone. Battery in the OnePlus 3T is 3,400 mAh (non-removable). OnePlus 3 has a 3000 mAh battery in comparison, so this one could last longer than the earlier phone. OnePlus 3T has USB 2.0 Type-C charging port, Dual-nano SIM slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The company has promised Android Nougat update for both phones later in this year, although there’s no official word on when that will take place.
