Motorola One has started receiving the Android 9 Pie update, as reported by XDA Developers. This update was spotted first in Mexico, and is expected in other countries soon. Recently, Indian users had reported receive the Android Pie update for Motorola One Power.
The system update, having the build number PPK29.68-16-8, has been spotted with the Latin America (LATAM) regional build for the same. With the latest version of Android, Motorola One users can enable features such as Adaptive brightness, the new digital wellbeing app, gesture-based navigation and an improved split-scren mode.
This upgrade also brings the Android November 2018 security patch, as well as other system bugs and fixes. Both Motorola One and Motorola One Power come with Android One branding, which will ensure system upgrades for the phones till 2020.
Motorola One was launched in September, soon after the phone was unveiled at IFA 2018. Featuring a 5.9-inch Max Vision HD+ display, the phone comes with a screen aspect ratio of 19:9. Running the Snapdragon 625 processor, Motorola One comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, and offers a 3000mAh battery with 15W TurboPower fast charging technology. The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB. Users can unlock the device through a fingerprint scanner located over the ‘M’ logo at the back.
Motorola One comes with a dual rear camera configuration which is vertically stacked. It consists of a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The phone also features an 8MP front camera. Both cameras offer ‘Bokeh’ mode, and come with integrated support for Google Lens.
