Micromax has introduced a low-cost 4G smartphone called Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G. The device is priced competitively at Rs 6,599 and sports a 5-inch 720p HD display screen and is powered by a 1 GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with support for microSD card.
Running Android Lollipop operating system, the dual-SIM smartphone comes with a 2,000 mAh battery. It comes with an 8MP A/F rear camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front camera. On the connectivity front, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth and supports Indian 4G bands.
Micromax will offer the smartphone in open sale on Flipkart. The Indian smartphone company also claims that in less than 3 months it sold over 300,000 units of the earlier Canvas Xpress 2, making it the one of the most successful smartphones in the sub $100 category.

Micromax says it has also partnered with Airtel to provide an introductory 4G double data offer for a period of 6 months across its 4G range of smartphones.
