Lenovo is gearing up to launch its next-generation smartphone Zuk Edge, which could feature a dual edge display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor under the hood. After months of anticipation, Lenovo today posted the smartphone’s release date on Weibo showing off the generic outline of the Zuk Edge. This also appears to confirm rumours that the Moto Z maker will be unveiling the Zuk Edge on December 20 in China.
A lot has been said and written about the upcoming Zuk Edge. The smartphone is pegged to come with a large 5.5-inch FHD, edge-to-edge display. While one shouldn’t expect something like the Mi Mix, reports suggest the Zuk Edge will be an impressive device nonetheless.
Speculations also reveal the Zuk Edge to be made from glass, and there will be a circular camera at back with laser focus. The phone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and could pack a 3000 mAh battery. There will probably be two variants of the Zuk Z1: 4GB RAM with 32GB ROM or 6GB RAM with 64GB ROM. The main camera is pegged to be a 13-megapixel resolution, while the front side should have an 8-megapixel sensor.
Earlier last week, Lenovo ZUK Edge was listed on China’s e-commerce site JD.com but the full specifications were not revealed. Plus we still don’t know when the ZUK Edge will be available for retail.
