Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has been launched in India. The smartphone will come in 3GB and 4GB storage options. The smartphone is Flipkart exclusive and will be available on open sale from August 3, midnight. While the 3GB and 4GB variant of the Vibe K5 Note are priced at Rs 11,499 and Rs 13,499, respectively. The internal storage is 32GB storage, expandable to 128GB via a microSD card. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note features a 5.5-inch full HD display and sports a rear fingerprint scanner. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Indian variant of Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is powered by 1.8Ghz octa-core MediaTek 6755 processor. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note sports a 13MP primary camera and the front camera is 8MP. The Vibe K5 Note has a metal unibody design. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note features a metal unibody design and rounded at the edges. The device is 8.5 mm thick. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note weighs 165 grams.
Given the price, the smartphone will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and Lenovo’s Moto G4 Plus. The USP of Redmi Note 3 is its beefy battery. Le 2, on the other, focuses on content which comes bundled with the device; and G4 Plus has a pretty good rear camera. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note stands out against the competition in terms of extra RAM, VR headset support, Dolby Atmos sound and TheatreMax technology support.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note: Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is the successor to the K4 Note, which was launched in January this year. The K5 Note will support the ANT VR headset along with TheaterMax technology seen in the K4 Note. The company has partnered with Amkette GamePad Pro 2 controller for the phone. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3: Redmi Note 3 was launched in India in April, and according to a recent Antutu report, it is one of the most popular smartphones in India. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3’s USP is the 4050 mAh battery, which will last more than a day, easily for most users. The 4G VoLTE ready smartphones with a 5.5-inch full HD display, which is vibrant and crisp, and works well in Sunlight as well. The smartphone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and comes in two variants – 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 3 GB RAM+ 32GB storage.
Both offer very good performance thanks to MIUI, which offers tons of customisation option. In our review, we said, “Redmi Note 3 might not have the best camera in its price-range, but it ticks all the right boxes.” We further added, “This would be the top recommendation to anyone looking for a phone in this price-band.”
Moto G4 Plus: Like Plus in the name, Moto G4 Plus offers an unmatched performance and is also priced way higher than other three smartphones. Moto G4 Plus offers near stock Android experience with features like Google Now on Tap (works like a charm), and there is better battery optimisation.
When it comes to the camera, Moto G4 Plus leaves the competition far behind. As we noted in the review the camera’s, “low-light performance has definitely improved, and the HDR mode is capable of delivering some stunning results.” With Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo has fixed the camera and improved the overall performance. The smartphone is the literal successor to Le 1s in terms of design. It features a metal unibody design, and comes with a rear fingerprint sensor. Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB non-expandable storage.
The rear camera is 16MP and front camera is 8MP. In our review we said Le 2 has the best camera among all the sub-Rs 12,000 smartphones. The camera on Le 2 is fast and snaps pictures with decent amount of detail. LeEco Le 2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of eUI 5.6. The smartphone is backed by 3000mAh battery. The device comes with USB Type-C port and supports fast charging.
