Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is set to launch in India on August 1. Now, Flipkart has confirmed the smartphone will be exclusive to its platform. Flipkart put out a tweet from its official handle saying, “We are ready! See you on the 1st of August #KillerNote5.” The deviation rather comes as a surprise as K5 Note’s predecessor – Lenovo K4 Note – was launched as Amazon exclusive in India.
Lenovo Vibe K5 Note was launched nearly seven months ago in China. The company plans to bring the 4GB RAM variant to India. Lenovo confirmed the same in a tweet where it asked users what they plan to do with all this RAM on the smartphone. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 401 ppi. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note sports a 13MP primary camera with dual-LED flash, and an 9MP front camera. It is backed by a 3,500 mAh non-removable battery, and features a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor. We’ll have to see if Lenovo sticks with 16GB internal storage with 4GB RAM or launches a 32GB storage version. The Vibe K5 Note supports expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card.
Lenovo will have high expectations in the India with Vibe K5 Note. Numbers indicate the Rs 10,000-Rs 15,000 price-band has seen the highest growth in terms of sales in India, and it is a price band in which every smartphone manufacturer wants to dominate.
