LeEco, the Chinese technology company, is planning to launch a new smartphone on June 29 ahead of the official Mobile World Congress in Shanghai, claims a new report.
GizmoChina has put out a report with a teaser by LeEco, which says the new phone will launch on June 29. According to GizmoChina, LeEco could launch its first smartphone with the Snapdragon 821 processor, 8GB RAM and a 25MP rear camera, which could be the new Le Max 2 Pro.
LeEco has showcased the first smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor at CES 2016 in January with the Le Max Pro smartphone, and it won’t be surprising if the company launches a new device with an upgraded processor.
According to the latest report, the 821 chipset is expect to see a higher clock speed at 2.5GHz. LeEco recently launched its flagship Le Max 2 with 6GB RAM in China and India. Le Max 2 goes on sale on Flipkart on June 28 and the 6GB RAM version is priced at Rs 29,999.
An earlier report said LeEco is working on a new version of Le Max 2, which could come with 8GB of RAM. The report claimed the next version of Le Max 2 will be the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. Some report have also suggested Asus is already working on a Zenfone 3 variant with Snapdragon 823 processor.
OnePlus 3, Le Max 2 (once it goes on sale) are the two phones in India currently offering 6GB RAM, but it looks like LeEco wants to top it up by offering a device with 8GB RAM. We’ll have to wait and see if the said device ever launches in India.
