Doze and App Standby are the two battery improvements that Marshmallow will bring to Lava Pixel P1. Doze feature automatically puts the device in to a sleep state when it is not being used thereby increasing the standby battery life. App Standby limits the impact of apps which are not used frequently on the battery.
Also, the apps designed for Android 6.0 only ask for permissions when needed and users can choose to use the app even when they have denied certain app permissions.
Another major improvement is the refreshed Google Now Launcher, which will improve the smartphone browsing experience. The app list will now include search, fast alphabetic scrolling and predictive app suggestions.
The flex storage feature will make using SD cards or external storage devices for apps and games on Android Marshmallow easier. Further, the direct share option is likely to make sharing with right people through the right apps easier.
Users can check for the update by going to About Phone in the Settings menu. In the About Phone option, users will be taken to a System Updates icon in which they can click on Check now for updates for the Marshmallow upgrade.
