Lava launches Iris X1 Atom for Rs 4444, has quad-core processor and 5 mp camera

Lava International has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India, the Iris X1 Atom, which is priced at only Rs 4444.

Lava International has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India, the Iris X1 Atom, which is priced at only Rs 4444.

The top features of the Lava Iris X1 Atom smartphone are a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800) Display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera with high intensity LED Flash and VGA Front Camera. The camera is capable of full HD (1080p) video playback and HD video recording.

The smartphone runs Android 4.4 OS and according to Lava, this smartphone will get a guaranteed upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.0. The Lava Iris X1 Atom has a 1750 mAh battery and is a 3G-enabled smartphone. Other connectivity options on the list are: 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V2.1 and micro- USB v2.0.

The Lava Iris X1 Atom has 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM which is expandable up to 32 GB via micro-SD card.

Lava Iris X1 also offers software features such as Smart Swipe, which is 4 way gesture/shortcut that includes Smart View (use two fingers to rotate the images in gallery), Double Tap to Wake up, Active Shot (one step shortcut to click photograph).

Lava Iris X1 Atom will be available in white Silver, Black Silver and Black gold colours from next week.
