Huawei takes on Redmi 1S, Moto E and Android One phones with Honor Holly

Huawei has launched its Honor Holly smartphone and Honor X1 tablet at a price of Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 19,990 respectively.

Huawei launches Honor Holly and  Honor X1 Huawei has launched its Honor Holly smartphone and Honor X1 tablet at a price of Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 19,990 respectively.

Huawei has launched its Honor Holly smartphone and Honor X1 tablet on Flipkart. Both the devices will be up for sale tomorrow. Huawei Holly is priced at Rs. 6,999 and the Honor X1 tablet at Rs. 19,990.

Honor Holly smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD IPS screen along with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and Samsung BSI sensor, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera includes various modes such as panoramic mode, beauty mode, HDR mode, continuous shot, and scene mode.

Running on a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB, the phone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with Emotion UI.

“Honor Holly will be a game-changer product in the sub-Rs 7000 segment, offering the largest 5-inch IPS HD screen, large 16GB memory, dual camera, quad-core processor and long lasting battery with 30 per cent additional power and will offer better proposition compared to Redmi 1S, Moto E and AndroidOne devices,” said the company in an official statement.

The Honor Holly is powered by a 2000mAh battery and offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, DLNA, 3G and dual-SIM on the connectivity front.

On the other hand, the Honor X1 tablet sports an aluminum body with 7-inch FHD LTPS screen at 323 ppi pixel density. Powered by a 5000mAh battery Huawei claims five days of battery and the device can double up as a power bank to charge other devices. The Honor X1 tablet has a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor with Kirin 910 chipset, supported with 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM.

The tablet sports a 13 MP Sony BSI rear camera with a 75 degree wide angle and a Hybrid IR Blue glass and a 5 MP wide angle front camera with 10-level auto face enhancement feature. The Honor X1 boasts of high speed connectivity with up to 42Mbps D/L speeds along with 2G/3G voice calling. It is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with Huawei’s patented Emotion UI 2.0. Huawei’s Honor X1 will be available in Diamond White color at Rs. 19,990 on Flipkart.
