Google’s big Nexus event takes place today where the company is expected to launch two new Nexus smartphones: the Nexus 5X by LG and Nexus 6P by Huawei, along with two new ChromeCast and a possible Pixel C tablet with a 10-inch screen.
Google will also showcase the final version of the Android M OS which will start rolling out post the launch. We take a look at all the rumours around the Google Nexus Event.

Android Police says that it will be priced at $379.99 for the 16GB version and it will come in Carbon, Quartz, and Ice Blue colour options. That’s around Rs 25,000 if you don’t include taxes.
Leaked pictures have indicated that the Nexus 5X will have a polycarbonate back, laser autofocus and a rear camera bulge.
Nexus 6P: The Nexus 6P by Huawei will be the new flagship smartphone from Google Nexus series and according to Android Police, this one will be priced at $499.99 for the 32GB version.
Other rumoured features of the Nexus 6P include: 5.7-inch WQHD display, 3450mAh battery, dual front-facing speakers, and Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor. Of course, it will run Android 6.0 aka Marshmallow.
According to The Verge, Nexus 6P might also come in 64GB and 128GB version as well, which would be a first for a Nexus device. Given its screen size, the Nexus 6P is smaller than the Nexus 6 which had a 6-inch screen. Additionally the front camera is rumoured to be 7 megapixels. This will also be an all metal smartphone.
Pixel C tablet: This is another device that has been rumoured. According to Android Police, this will have a 10.2-inch display with 308ppi and a super-bright backlight capable of 500 nits. It will also have a detachable keyboard and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM.
ChromeCast: Google is expected to launch a new version of Chromecast, in fact two versions, one of which will be geared for audio.
A report on 9to5Google shows a weird design for the Chromecast (2nd gen) and also support for 802.11ac WiFi support, which means support for 5GHz networks ensuring faster speeds when streaming.
Chromcast will also have a new feature called “Fast Play” letting it connect more quickly and play content “more seamlessly,” adds the report.
The Google Nexus event starts at 9.30 pm India time. Google should have a live-stream for the event.
