What if there was a phone that could give you all the features you could ever ask for in a modern day phone? Well, the Saygus V2 (pronounced V-square) tries to do just that.

Created by Saygus, a mobile design company based in Salt Lake City, Utah and manufactured like most other smartphones in China, this one aspired to be a super smartphone. And one read of the spec sheet will show that this dream is not all that unfounded. To start with the phone has a 5-inch Full HD borderless sunlight viewable screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has 3GB of RAM. But the really interesting feature is that it has 64GB of internal memory along with an unprecedented 256GB expandable storage capability. That is double what the best phones are offering at the moment.

The company hasn’t pulled back on the camera either. It has a 21MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera, with optical image stabilisation on both sides.

The Android KitKat phone is GSM, CDMA and LTE compatible and can hence be used across the world. There is of course NFC and Bluetooth along with a 60GHz wireless mobile beaming IR transmitter thrown in for good measure.

The phone comes with a 3100 mAh battery with Qi wireless charging built in. Plus there it has top of the line IPX7 rating for waterproofing.

So how much will all this cost? Chris Baker, vice president for corporate development, told IndianExpress.com that the company has not yet decided on the final pricing though all these features should put this phone in the $1000 range. “However, over attempt is to sell the phone at a much lower price,” he said. The Saygus V2 was a 2015 CES Innovation Award Honoree in the Wireless Handset category, the second innovation award the company has won.

The phone could be available in India too once it is finally launched, as Baker says it is too good a phone not to be sold across the globe.
