First look: Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe, Laser and Selfie smartphones

Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe starts at Rs 22,999, ZenFone 2 Laser costs Rs 9,999 while ZenFone Selfie is priced at Rs 15,999.

Asus today at its Zen Festival event in the city hosted by its Chairman Jonney Shih announced two new ZenFone 2 versions called ZenFone 2 Deluxe and Laser along with ZenFone Selfie smartphone, ZenPad 7 and ZenPad 8 tablets. The company also showcased its upcoming ZenFone Max with a 5,000 mAh battery.

The ZenFone 2 Deluxe starts at Rs 22,999, ZenFone 2 Laser costs Rs 9,999 while ZenFone Selfie is priced at Rs 15,999. The price of ZenFone Max would be announced later.

If the previous Zenfone 2 launch was not enough to confuse you while buying the latest Asus smartphone, the new additions will surely do. Not to forget, the devices would be available in different internal memory versions as well. To simplify things, Zenfone 2 Deluxe sports a premium look and comes with 4GB RAM. ZenFone 2 Laser is for the budget segment and boasts a fast auto-focus rear camera. The ZenFone 2 Selfie comes with a dual tone LED Flash and 13MP cameras on both sides. The form factor of all the newly launched smartphones is exactly the same. All the smartphones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with ZenUI.

Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe

Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe runs on a 64-bit 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4GB RAM. It will available in 64GB and 128GB ROM versions. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and supports 4G. It comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. It is 4G smartphone and has two SIM card slots.

Asus ZenFone 2 Laser

The ZenFone 2 Laser sports a 5-inch 720p HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and supports glove touch. The device comes with laser auto focus rear camera and claims to be among the fastest in its class. Running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU with 2GB RAM, the device will available in 8GB and 16GB internal storage options with support for SD cards. Powered by a 2,070 mAh battery, it supports 4G connectivity. It has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

Asus ZenFone Selfie

Asus ZenFone Selfie sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It runs on a Snapdragon 615 CPU with the option of buying with 3GB or 2GB RAM. The ZenFone 2 Selfie comes with a dual tone LED Flash and 13MP cameras on both sides. It is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and supports 4G connectivity.

On the other hand, Asus ZenPad 7 and ZenPad 8 tablets with 7-inch and 8-inch displays were launched at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively. Powered by Intel Atom x3 prrocessor these tablets support voice calls and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
