Apple’s iPad Pro is now open for pre-orders on sites of authorised Apple resellers like Maple and Unicorn. The MacBook Air 2018 is also listed for pre-orders on both sites; however, there is no word on the actual sale date.
With the new iPad Pro 11 and 12.9-inch, sales will start from November 16. The new iPad Pro will start at Rs 71,900 for the 11-inch variant while the 12.9-inch version will cost Rs 89,900. Apple’s iPad Pro will come in Space Grey and Silver colour options. Both models will come with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+Cellular variants for connectivity.
Apple is introducing four storage options with the new iPad Pro which are 64GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

Both Maple and Unicorn are offering 5 per cent cashback on EMI for Citibank Credit cards and Axis Bank card holders. No Cost EMI is also being offered on Bajaj Finserv. EMI options will start at Rs 3,183 per month for the new iPad Pro series, depending on your bank.
In terms of prices, the Wi-Fi only variant of the 11-inch iPad Pro will cost Rs 71,900 for 64GB storage, Rs 85,900 for the 256GB storage, Rs 1,03,900 for 512GB and Rs 1,39,900 for 1TB. The iPad Pro 12.9-inch with Wi-Fi only starts at Rs 89,900 for the 64GB variant, 256GB version will cost Rs 1,03,900, while the 512GB option will cost Rs 1,21,900.
The 1TB variant with only Wi-Fi costs Rs 1,57,900 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
For the Wi-Fi+Cellular variant, the 64GB base variant of the iPad Pro with 11-inch display will start at Rs 85,900. The 256GB storage version will cost 99,900, while 512GB will cost Rs 1,17,900. The 1TB variant of iPad Pro 11-inch will cost Rs 1,53,900.
Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular will start at Rs 1,03,900 for the 64GB variant, the 256GB variant will cost Rs 1,17,900, while the 512GB version will cost Rs 1,35,900. The most expensive iPad Pro will be the 1TB variant at Rs 1,71,900 for WiFi+Cellular connectivity.
Apple iPad Pro: Specifications, features
The new iPad Pro comes in two display sizes: 12.9-inches and 11-inches, and both feature a Liquid Retina display. It has done away with the round home button on the front. Screen resolution for the 12.9-inch iPad is 2732 x 2048 pixels, while that of the 11-inch iPad Pro stands at 2388 x 1668 pixels. Both, though, have the same pixel density of 264 ppi.
Apple’s iPad Pro series is now powered by A12X Bionic chip which is an 7nm design chipset, and an improvement over the A12 Bionic that powers the iPhone XS series. Apple’s A12X Bionic is an octa-core processor, compared to the six cores on the regular A12.
It also has six cores for graphics. A12X allows for advanced neural networking functions, which can support AR apps, AI-related tasks and more. The iPad Pro also gets Face ID, Animoji and Memoji as well.
The iPad Pro (2018) has a 12MP rear camera and 7MP TrueDepth front camera like the iPhone series. Apple has also introduced type-C USB port on both the iPads, which will support USB 3.1 Gen 2.
There’s a new second-generation Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro 2018, which will cost Rs 10,900 in India. The new Smart Keyboard Folio for the new iPad Pro is available in space grey at a price of Rs 15,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 17,900 for the 12.9-inch model.
