Xiaomi could launch a new smart bike tomorrow, hints a new teaser released by the company. The new smart bike is expected to launch at company’s event tomorrow in Beijing, ahead of Mi Max launch on June 30 in India.
The teaser shows a picture of a smart screen attached to the bike displaying time, distance, speed, watt, etc. The battery level of the bike is also seen on the screen. Another teaser shows a red tail-light on the back.
Xiaomi, the company well known for budget smartphones, has been selling other devices as well in China such as television sets, Water purifiers, Mi Box for TV, rice-cooker, etc. Last month, the company had launched its first drone with 4k capability to compete against industry leader DJI.
Segway, which is known for Ninebot, an electric two-wheeled scooter. After the acquisition, a Ninebot mini was also launched.
Xiaomi has also re-branded its Mi Ecosystem, and now has a smart action camera inspired by GoPro’s similar offering.
Xiaomi’s new smart bike could be an effort to take on similar interests from another Chinese rival LeEco. LeEco had recently launched its own smart bike with electric charging capability.
We’ll have to wait and see what Xiaomi calls its new smart bike.
