Ringing Bells, The maker of the world’s cheapest smartphone – Freedom 251 – has launched several new devices, including Freedom HD LED TV. The Freedom LED TV is being touted as India’s cheapest LED TV. Ringing Bells says it will start deliveries of the Freedom TV from August 15.
The new devices were launched, even as Freedom 251 is yet to be delivered to millions of people who have booked it. Ringing Bells says the deliveries will start from tomorrow with 5,000 units being delivered on Day 1.
The first set of deliveries is indeed on a lucky draw basis as promised by Ringing Bells’ Director Mohit Goel. “We want Freedom 251 to reach every state in the country,” he said at the event, insisting the company will deliver 2 lakh units of the Freedom 251 smartphone in the first phase.
The new Ringing Bells smartphones are called Elegant and Elegance. The company has unveiled 4 feature phones called King, Boss, Hit and Raja. It also launched three power banks starting at Rs 399.
Ringing Bells Freedom TV comes with a resolution of 1366×768 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It comes with 2 HDMI, 2 USB ports and 2 speakers.
King and Boss come with a 2.4-inch TFT display, 2MP primary camera and support up to 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card. While the battery of King is 1,800mAh; Boss is backed by a 2,000mAh battery. The specifications of Raja is the same as King except that it sports a larger 2.8-inch TFT display.
King, Boss and Raja are priced at Rs 899, Rs 999 and Rs 1,099, respectively. Hit comes with a 1.8-inch display, 2MP primary camera, 1,250mAh battery and is priced at Rs 699. The company is offering 180 days of replacement warranty on the phones.
Elegance is a 3G-enabled dual-SIM smartphone that features a 5-inch HD IPS display. It runs Android Marshmallow. The smartphone is powered by 1.3Ghz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card). It is priced at Rs 3,999.
The rear camera is 8MP with LED flash, that can support 1080p video recording. It sports a 3.2MP front camera. The phone weighs 125 gms and supports micro USB 2.0.
Elegance has similar specifications except that this is a 4G-enabled smartphone, runs Android Lollipop 5.1, and comes with a bigger 2,800mAh battery. The smartphone will cost Rs 4,499.
Ringing Bells also has a series of power banks of 4,000mAh, 5,500mAh and 8,000mAh capacities at Rs 399, Rs 499 and Rs 699, respectively.
