Huawei Fit, new fitness tracker with heart-rate monitor, has been launched by the company. Huawei Fit is available in the US at $129.99 (Rs 8,682 approx) and in Europe for 149 euro (Rs 11,089 approx). The Huawei Fit comes in grey and silver colour options for watchcase as well as interchangable bands in 18mm and 20mm size. The bands are available in black, blue and orange colour variants. Huawei Fit weighs close to 35 grams and bears an IP68 rating, making it suitable for use in a swimming pool. It is 5 ATM water-resistant. The smartwatch features a round-shaped 1.04-inch LCD display with a resolution of (208×208 pixels) and pixel density of 200 ppi. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches.
Huawei Fit is equipped with features such as daily activity tracking, always-on display and sleep monitoring. Highlight features of Huawei Fit include continuous heart rate monitoring, personal running coach, multi-sport modes and smart notifications. It is claimed to provide up to 6 days of battery on normal usage and takes about 1.5 hours to get fully charged.
Huawei Fit constantly monitors a user’s heartbeat to tell them if they’re doing fat burning or aerobic exercise. It vibrates to remind a user when their heart rate reaches a certain high threshold. Users can customise their fitness plan based on their targets as well as fitness level. Real-time coaching in Huawei Fit provides users real-time alerts related to speed, distance mark and heart-rate. VO2max assessment gives users an indicative cardio-respiratory fitness and recovery time assessment.
Huawei shows incoming call notifications as well as messages from select apps. It supports Bluetooth v4.2 technology. Sensors on the device include 6-Axis motion sensor(Accelerometer + Gyrometer), Heart rate sensor(PPG), CAP-Sensor and Ambient light sensor. It can be used with smartphones running Android 4.4 OS and later and IOS 8.0 and later.
