GoPro’s action cameras have gained tremendous popularity among video-savvy generation of today; making use of the numerous attachments for the camera to mount it on cars, helmets, drones, etc to capture amazing footage in high quality. As it turns out, the latest leaks of the next GoPro (likely to be called the Hero 5) will feature a touch-based interface.
A video shared by GoPro enthusiast Konrad Iturbe on Vimeo, of what he claims shows a touch screen interface for the upcoming GoPro. The nine second video shows the rear side of the camera, devoid of any physical buttons, but integrated with a full touch-based interface that does not exist in any existing GoPro designs.
Talking to Mashable, Iturbe talked about the three sections on the screens shown in the video – GoPro app, Sniper and Remote. According to the leaked video, the Hero 5 will be able to capture videos in 1080p and 30fps. The camera is expected to capture in at least 4K resolution like the existing Hero 4 Black camera.
GoPro also plans to release a drone called Karma and trying to expand its portfolio beyond that of just action camera, drones and VR. The company is also taking orders for its 360-degree VR camera called Omni, for $5000 in the US.
The latest in GoPro series, the GoPro for replaced the Hero3+ generation. According to prices on Amazon, you can buy GoPro Hero 4 for Rs 22,650, the GoPro Hero 4 Adventure (Silver) edition for Rs 34,900, GoPro Hero 4 Adventure (Black) edition for Rs 43,990 and the GoPro Hero 4 Black 4K camera for Rs 52,999.
