WrestleMania 36 Part 2 was truly historic as Drew McIntyre reigned supreme over Brock Lesnar to capture his first WWE Championship, Charlotte Flair bested Rhea Ripley to reclaim the NXT Women’s Championship, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt took John Cena into the darkness in a Firefly Fun House Match and Edge outlasted Randy Orton in a brutal Last Man Standing Man.

Here is what happened on Day 2 of WreslteMania 36

Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesnar: It all began at the Royal Rumble when Brock Lesnar had challenged that he would eliminate every superstar. However, that was not the case and Drew McIntyre eventually won the contest after eliminating Roman Reigns. Today in WrestleMania 36, the Scotsman who was released from the industry in 2014, defeated Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion.

The match as anticipated was dominated by Lesnar, as he struck McIntyre with three F5. However, on the fourth occasion, the Scotsman escaped the signature move of his opponent and went on to hit three consecutive Claymore on Lesnar’s face. This proved more than enough to bring the Beast down as he completed the pinfall with ease.

John Cena vs The Fiend: The Firefly Fun House at WrestleMania 36 between John Cena and Bray Wyatt was beyond imagination. The Fiend eventually defeated Cena with Wyatt making the three count but the event brought a flashback of John Cena’s persona over the years, which included the Ruthless Aggression-era Cena, his Doctor of Thuganomics period.

It also featured an nWo Cena, who threw punches at his opponent but it turned out to be a puppet. The segment was followed by Cena appearing in the ring with The Fiend standing right behind him. He then locked Cena with the Mandible Claw and went on to win the contest.

Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley: The women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair took almost thirty minutes to overpower Rhea Ripley and become the new NXT Champion. The match began with Ripley  gaining early momentum after hitting Flair with a Riptide, however, that was not enough to get a win.

Soon Flair pushed the momentum back in her favour and the champion had a tough time fighting Flair’s signature move Figure Eight multiple times. She also managed to lock Flair with a Cloverleaf submission but it was just not enough to earn her a victory.

However, Ripley’s endurance finally came to an end after Flair locked her with another Figure Eight forcing her to tap out.

Edge vs Randy Orton: The feud between Edge and Randy Orton finally came to an end with the Rated R superstar winning the Last Man Standing match. The action which started with Orton hitting Edge with a “RKO-out of nowhere” inside the ring, soon moved through the entire Performance Center.

Last match standing matches are mostly more brutal than what we saw today as the action revolved involved both the superstars engaging in punches and kicks. A substantial amount of action took place in the gym and office area, with both the superstars trying to hurt the other with various equipments.

The match was primarily dominated by Orton, who also tried to knock edge with a chair, just like the way he did in the episode after Royal Rumble. However, Edge this time saved himself from the attack and locked the Legend Killer in an arm-triangle choke. He then eventually hit Orton with the same chair and went on to win his first singles match win since his return.
