Sanam Singh,Balaji storm into the ITF Men’s Future finals

Sanam Singh defeated his fourth seeded Japanese rival Kento Takeuchi,moving to the final to face N Sriram.

Sanam Singh stunned his fourth seeded Japanese rival Kento Takeuchi 6-2 6-2 to set up a clash with N Sriram Balaji in the ITF Men’s Future USD 10,000 tennis tournament’s singles final.

The duo were involved in long rallies but the unseeded Sanam,who demolished the top seed Vishnu Vardhan in his march to the finals,was steadier than his opponent and went on to wriggle out of tight situations.

The second singles semifinal between Balaji and fifth seed R Virali Murugesan saw the former knock out the latter 6-3,6-2 to move into the finals.

The final of the doubles played in the afternoon was an all-Indian affair between the pairs of Rohan Gajjar-Saketh Myneni and Vijay Kannan-Arun Prakash Rajagopalan. Rohan and Saketh won 7-5 6-3.
