The Tuesday night SmackDown LIVE saw a couple of interesting moments. In the show, there was the “Miz TV” in which The Miz called a special guest in Dean Ambrose, who was still miffed by James Ellsworth costing him the WWE World Title chance against AJ Styles at WWE TLC. The Miz’s interviewing him didn’t go well on the show as Ambrose didn’t hide his frustration. He was given the “Miz participation award” for his effort at WWE TLC which further put Ambrose on the edge.

Later on the “Miz TV”, SmackDown LIVE General Manager Danier Bryan announced that Ambrose will be fighting Miz for the Intercontinental Title later in SmackDown LIVE on Tuesday night. This was the main event.

And what followed in the main event will surely make Ambrose more furious. As the fight began with some fiery battle between the Miz and Ambrose, it was the latter who was on road to victory before Maryse intervened behind the referee’s back. And it was again James Ellsworth’s mistake that cost Ambrose the title.

Ellsworth, who looked like helping Ambrose by telling the referee about Maryse bad step, took the attention of referee from the fight and in the meantime, the Miz pulled off The Skull Crushing Finale from behind to keep the Intercontinental Title.

AJ Styles kicks off SmackDown LIVE!

But the show began with a dramatic announcement by WWE World Champion AJ Styles. He appeared on the show and announced that he would be unable to fight on the show on Tuesday due to an injury he had suffered at the WWE TLC. He fought with Dean Ambrose the Sunday event.

This meant that Styles scheduled fight with James Ellsworth was cancelled. Just after the announcement, Ellsworth came down to the ring and claimed that he thought that the fight was cancelled because WWE SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan is “protecting” Styles because he would defeat Styles for the fourth time.

Ellsworth’s rant was suddenly cut off by none other than Dean Ambrose, whom Ellsworth had cost the WWE World Title on Sunday. Ambrose served a beeline for Ellsworth before dropping him with Dirty Deeds. And then he left.
