The Virender Sehwag-Piers Morgan twitter battle seems to never die down. On Saturday, the Indian batting great fired another shot at the British journalist after India’s victory against Iran to lift the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

“India invented Kabaddi & r World Champs for 8th time. Elsewhere some country invented Cricket & r yet only good in correcting typos.(sic.),” said Sehwag in his tweet. Although he doesn’t specifically take Morgan’s name, Sehwag inclusion of ‘typo’ is a clear reference to Morgan’s earlier tweet about Kabaddi.

Morgan was not one to take things lying down. “Mate, we invented Darts & Curling but I wouldn’t boast about being ‘World Champions’ at them,” he replied.

Sehwag had reignited his twitter feud with Morgan when India defeated England in the Kabaddi World Cup. “England loose in a World Cup again. Only the sport changes. This time it’s Kabaddi. India thrash them 69-18. All the best for semis,” said Sehwag. Morgan was quick to point out Sehwag’s mistake in using the word ‘loose’ instead of ‘lose,’ which is the reference that Sehwag used in his most recent tweet to allude to Morgan.

Morgan and Sehwag’s twitter battle had originally started when the former mocked India’s celebration of it’s medal turnover in the Rio Olympics.

Piers Morgan has been rebutted not just by Sehwag but also numerous Indians on twitter. The puns used against Morgan ranged from their failures in cricket and football to the contentious Brexit vote.
