
India vs Australia 2020 Test series could be played behind closed doors
Cricket Australia (CA) CEO Kevin Roberts on Tuesday hinted at the board’s desire to conduct the five-Test series against India later this year even if it is played behind closed doors.
Roberts also revealed that the Indian team led by Virat Kohli could be housed at a ‘quarantine hub’ such as Adelaide Oval’s yet-to-be-completed 128-room hotel. This would allow India to train and play the Test campaign without any additional travel.

15-year-old golfer Arjun Bhati raises Rs 3.3 lakh by selling torn shoes
A week after making a contribution of Rs 4.3 lakhs in the PM-CARES Fund in India’s fight against the novel coronavirus, young golfer Arjun Bhati on Tuesday made another donation of Rs 3.3 lakhs for the noble cause. He raised the money by selling his torn shoe that he wore during his title-winning campaign at the 2018 Junior World Championship.
“The torn shoes with which I had won the trophy in the US at Jr GOLF WORLD CH.SHIP-2018- were taken by Uncle Vanish Pradhan ji for Rs 3,30,000, and I have donated the money to PMCARES. Dingko Singh to be air-lifted to Delhi for cancer treatment
The Boxing Federation of India on Tuesday said that former India boxer Dingko Singh will be air-lifted to New Delhi for his cancer treatment. The 1998 Asian gold medallist was scheduled to travel two weeks ago, but his travel was stalled due to the nationwide lockdown in order to check the spread of coronavirus.
“He has been contacted and arrangements have been made for him to be brought here on an air ambulance to continue his radiation therapy,” BFI Executive Director R K Sacheti told PTI. [READ MORE]
Mesut Ozil refuses to take 12.5% pay cut for Arsenal
Mesut Ozil has often come under criticism due to his performances in an Arsenal shirt in the past two seasons, but recently, he came under scrutiny for turning down a proposed 12.5% pay cut to help the Premier League club financially during the global pandemic.
On Monday, Arsenal’s players and coaching staff agreed a 12.5% salary cut for a period of 12 months, making the London-based club the first in the Premier League to announce such a measure.
