Pro Kabaddi 2017: Puneri Paltan, Bengal Warriors continue victory march

Puneri Paltan continued their unbeaten run against Dabang Delhi as they thumped hosts 34-29. Earlier, Bengal Warriors edged past Bengaluru Bulls.

Puneri Paltan have now won both their games against Dabang Delhi.

Puneri Paltan continued their victory march as they beat Dabang Delhi for the second time in season 5. Riding on captain Deepak Niwas Hooda’s Super 10, Pune beat Delhi 34-29. Girish Maruti Ernak was the second highest scorer for Pune as he scored a high five. Meraj Sheykh, Abolfazl Maghsodlou, Rohit Baliyan all scored above three but failed to help Delhi register their first win at home. Delhi next face Haryana Steelers. Bengal Warriors survived a second-half scare as they beat Bengaluru Bulls 33-29. Maninder Singh made a crucial super raid in the dying minutes of the match as Warriors held on to a narrow win. Warriors are ranked second in Zone B with 58 points from 17 matches. Bengaluru Bulls remain fourth with 34 points from 16 matches. Ravinder Pahal and Mahender Singh scored five points each. Harish Naik scored 11 raid points for Bulls. Surjeet Singh scored six points whereas Maninder ended with nine points for Bengal Warriors.
