Sunrisers Hyderabad’s assistant coach Simon Helmet has organised a Fire Pong game as team building activity ahead of the side’s clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.
In the game played the players are expected to throw the ping ball from one end of the table to the other end in a glass and the ball can bounce many times before it falls into the glass.
English star cricketer Adil Rashid, and Indian pacers Natrajan and Umran Malik were all seen participating in the competition in the video released by SRH on their Youtube channel. The team appeared to be in good spirits and seemed like they were enjoying their time away from cricket.
SRH registered their first win of the season, beating Punjab Kings by eight wickets in their IPL match on Sunday. Chasing 144 to win, Rahul Tripathi smashed a 48-ball 74 not out while adding a match-winning unbeaten 100 off 52 balls with skipper Aiden Markram 37 not out for the third wicket, as SRH romped home with 17 balls to spare.
Earlier, skipper Shikhar Dhawan slammed an unbeaten 99 off 66 balls to singlehandedly take Punjab Kings to 143 for nine. Dhawan played a lone hand, hitting 12 fours and five sixes, while Sam Curran contributed 22 and was the other batter to reach double-digit, as other PBKS batters cut a sorry figure after being asked to take the first strike. Mayank Markande scalped four wickets, while the pace duo of Marco Jansen and Umran Malik took two wickets each.
SRH despite the victory are at the bottom of the table in ninth place as they have lost their first two games.
