KKR vs CSK, IPL 2019 Highlights: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings, are enjoying a good run in the ongoing edition of IPL, and will be looking to extend this purple patch when they lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. They have won six of the seven matches they have played thus far, and have a four-point lead at the top of the table.
Kolkata Knight Riders, the second placed team, are on points and will be looking to cut down the runaway lead that CSK have got. However, they come into this match on the back of two defeats, one of which was against CSK themselves in the latter’s home. Andre Russell’s extraordinary form has powered KKR thus far in the season and he has not quite been at a 100 percent fitness off late. The rest of KKR’s batting lineup will be required to provide backup if he is unable to play to his full capacity.

KKR vs CSK, IPL 2019 Highlights: Follow in Bengali
CSK beat KKR by five wickets and extend their lead at the top of the table to six points. Jadeja simply took the game away from them in the last two overs and he ends the game unbeaten on 31 off 17. Raina is unbeaten on 58 off 42. Sensational stuff from CSK.
Jadeja switches gears
Raina takes a single off the first ball and then a hat-trick of fours from Jadeja to practically end the contest. They take three off the last two balls and CSK now need 8 to win off the last over.
CSK need 24 to win off 12 balls
Who will Karthik throw the ball to? Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav and Harry Gurney have an over left each. As it turns out, Gurney it is.
50 for Raina
His first this season. He has Jadeja at the other end and CSK will be looking to him to provide the stability required to finish this chase.
WICKET! DHONI FALLS!
Narine has got a big fish here and the match swings right back KKR's way. Dhoni pushes forward and is well off his line, he reviews the decision after the umpire raises the finger but ball tracker shows that the ball is hitting the stumps.
Dhoni and Raina turn the tide
37 runs in the last three overs and CSK are back on track and how. Dhoni and Raina have just stormed their way back into the game and it is now sitting on a knife's edge. Dhoni needs some treatment on his back, CSK 120/4 off 15, need 42 to win off 30.
OUT! And Jadhav falls
Piyush Chawla has another. Jadhav plays all around it as Chawla bowls a length delivery that spins into the right-hander. Jadhav has a brief chat with Raina but this is as plumb as they come so he has to walk.
Low run rate? Call Dr. Jadhav
Kedar Jadhav does not take long to get going. Two dot balls and then consecutive fours off Chawla's over followed by a six and a four off the next by Kuldeep Yadav. CSK 81/3 off 11.
Rayudu succumbs to the pressure. Chawla bowls it full and outside off, Rayudu goes for the drive but can't keep it down. He is caught at cover.
The run rate dips
Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine have managed to bring the CSK run rate to 6.77 and the required rate has now climbed to 9.18. However, this is the CSK school of chasing that is underway and low run rates in the middle overs are not uncommon.
7 overs gone
CSK are 47/2. Sunil Narine blew off Du Plessis's off stump in the sixth over and so it is Raina and Rayudu in the middle for CSK now. KKR need a few more wickets to start worrying the CSK bench.
Raina saved by DRS
Raina could have been dismissed in the same over with the umpire raising his finger. The batsman takes the review and as it turns out, there was a faint inside edge.
Watson trapped LBW by Gurney! Gurney angles it in from round the wicket and Watson takes it on the pads. Watson reviews the decision but there are three reds on the replay and he has to go.
Du Plessis takes Russell apart
Russell bowls the third over. The first and the fifth balls are dots and the rest are all boundaries. Du Plessis giving Russell a taste of his own medicine.
The 1st over
Watson starts the innings with an on-drive for four, takes a single and then Du Plessis hits a four off the first ball that he faces. Another single after that to make it 10 in the over.
They are back
Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis walk out for CSK. Prasidh Krishna starts the attack for KKR.
KKR's innings ends on 161/8
An inch perfect yorker to end the over from Thakur, Kuldeep runs from the non-striker's end but Chawla is rooted to his spot, still recovering from that yorker. Thakur walks to the other end and clips off the bails. KKR lost 5 wickets for 40 runs in the last six overs.
Shubman Gill tries to go big and holes out off the penultimate delivery. KKR have crumbled in the death overs.
Into the last over
KKR are 157/6. CSK have properly put the breaks on them here. They looked set for a 200-plus total when Lynn was going big guns and now, they might just have a total that could be considered below par here.
OUT! DK THIS TIME!
Knuckleball by Thakur that DK tries to loft over the bowler's head, has the elevation but not the distance and it falls into the hands of Du Plessis. That is the fourth time the South African captain has taken a catch today.
He has one more over left and already has got four wickets. Nitish Rana, Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn and Andre Russell have all fallen to him and he is a good contender for man of the match. He is now bowling the 17th over, Shubman Gill and Dinesh Karthik in the middle.
WICKET! DRE RUSS FALLS!
WHAT AN INSANE OVER THIS IS! Andre Russell starts out with a four, follows that up with a dot, then a six and is dismissed off the fifth ball. Imran Tahir is running towards the stands, screaming at the top of his lungs, he has got four. The delivery is a touch shorter and Russell can't quite get the required elevation. Dhruv Shorey runs in and takes a sharp catch to silence Kolkata.
OUT! And the Lynnsanity ends
Imran Tahir gets the big wicket once again. Lynn holes at deep square leg and ends his innings 82 off 51 balls.
Chris Lynn smashes a hat-trick of sixes off Jadeja in the 14th over and Karthik ends that with a four. 23 runs came off it and KKR are back up and running.
KKR's pace interrupted
Chris Lynn hit a six off the next over after Imran Tahir's but KKR have slowed down a bit with Dinesh Karthik having more of the strike.
That is a catch for the ages by Faf du Plessis. Robin Uthappa doesn't read the leg break properly and he looks to go aerial. The ball takes a leading edge and goes high up in the air, Du Plessis sprints in from the long-off fence and dives to complete the catch spectacularly. Two wickets in the over for Imran Tahir.
OUT! Tahir gets Rana
Rana gets it off the inside of the bat and holes out at long-on. A dangerous looking partnership nipped in the bud by Imran Tahir. Rana goes for 21 off 18.
Halfway through the innings
KKR 77/1. This is a good foundation that has been set by Lynn with able assistance from Rana. KKR look poised for a 180-plus total at the moment.
9 overs gone
And it's time for a timeout. KKR are 71/1. Nitish Rana in the middle with Chris Lynn. This is a good start for KKR and Lynn is well set.
Narine has not quite got going today and he goes. Santner bowling his first over and his fifth ball is a full delivery that Narine tries to deposit into the stands. He is caught at long-on.
Lynn smashing away
He is fresh off that bout of his flu of his and has pretty much scored all the runs thus far. KKR are 33/0 and Sunil Narine has contributed just one run to that.
10 runs off the first two overs
Off which 8 came in the first so a good second over by Shardul Thakur. It has been all Lynn thus far and he crossed 1000 IPL runs in the very first over.
The players walk out
Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine open for KKR, Deepak Chahar starts the CSK attack. Lynn is just a few runs away from reaching 1000 IPL runs.
