(Sportzpics)The BCCI on Monday announced the venues for the IPL 2025 playoffs and final with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad set to host the summit clash as well as Qualifier 2 while the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh, also known as the Mullanpur stadium, will host the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator. Ahmedabad had earlier hosted the IPL final in 2022 and 2023.
“The spotlight will shift to the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh as it gears up to host the much-awaited Qualifier 1 – featuring the top-two ranked sides on Thursday, May 29 followed by an engrossing Eliminator clash on Friday, 30 May,” The IPL said in a statement

“The excitement will elevate further as Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium in the world will host an electrifying Qualifier 2 and the grand Final. The Qualifier 2, to be played between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator, will take place on Sunday, June 1. The highly-anticipated summit clash, which will crown the winner of the 18th Season of TATA IPL, is set to be played on Tuesday, June 3,” it added.

“The new venues for the Playoffs were decided by the IPL Governing Council keeping in mind the weather conditions and other parameters,” the IPL release stated.
Meanwhile, considering the monsoon, the BCCI has also shifted the May 23 fixture between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and SunRisers Hyderabad in Bengaluru to Lucknow. The last match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium was washed out.
“The IPL Match No. 65 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been relocated to the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, due to unfavourable weather conditions in Bengaluru<” The league said in the statement.
The BCCI has also increased the extra time to complete matches to 120 minutes from the existing one hour. The step has been taken considering the unpredictable weather. Previously, 120 minutes of extra time was only reserved for play-offs and not the league games.
May 29 – 7:30 PM IST – Qualifier 1 at Mullanpur Stadium
May 30 – 7:30 PM IST – Eliminator at Mullanpur Stadium
June 1 – 7:30 PM IST – Qualifier 2 at Ahmedabad
June 3 – 7:30 PM IST – Final at Ahmedabad
