IPL 2021, RCB vs KKR Highlights: Royal Challengers Bangalore registered their third win on the trot to climb to the top of the points table. This is the first time RCB have won their first three matches in an IPL season. Kyle Jamieson got three wickets whereas Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets each. Washington Sundar got a wicket as well. Andre Russell showed some fight in the end but the run chase was ended by Mohammed Siraj’s penultimate over. This is KKR’s second loss of the season. They are in sixth place after a comprehensive loss to RCB.

Earlier, Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first. Half-centuries from Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers helped RCB post a total of 204/4 in the first innings. Maxwell scored 78 runs from 49 deliveries whereas De Villiers scored an unbeaten 76 from 34 deliveries. Both batsmen hit nine fours and three sixes each in their innings. The late charge helped RCB get past 200 and nullify Andre Russell threat in the final overs. Kyle Jamieson with a 4-ball 11 cameo as well batting at number 6. Earlier in the innings, KKR got off to a great start as spinner Varun Chakravarthy got the wickets of RCB skipper Kohli and Rajat Patidar in his first over. Kohli included Patidar in the side replacing Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian as RCB went into the game with three overseas players. Apart from Chakravarthy, fast bowlers Krishna and Cummins took one wicket each. Russell was the most expensive bowler considering an economy rate of 19 bowling in death overs.
