IPL 2021, MI vs SRH Highlights: Mumbai Indians picked up their second win of the ongoing IPL 2021 campaign by beating a struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Saturday.

After opting to bat first, Mumbai got off to a good start through Rohit Sharma (32) and Quinton de Kock (40). A late show by Kieron Pollard (35*) helped the champions finish on 150/5 at the end of 20 overs. Chasing, Hyderabad looked deadly in the opening powerplay. But after David Warner (36) and Jonny Bairstow’s (43) dismissals, the entire batting order collapsed as Mumbai pulled off another comeback. Rahul Chahar (3/19) and Trent Boult (3/28) led the potent bowling attack from the front.

MUMBAI INDIANS WIN BY 13 RUNS!

Mumbai wrap up yet another heist! Boult (3/28) led the bowling attack from the front as he bowled both Bhuvneshwar and Khaleel out in the final over. So close yet so far for Hyderabad as they slump to their third straight defeat. SRH: 137-all out (19.4 overs)

23:08 (IST)17 Apr 2021
CAUGHT OUT!

All but over now! The last hope for SRH, Shankar (28) perishes at the hands of Bumrah. SKY with the catch. Hyderabad still require 16 runs from the final six deliveries, and they have Mujeeb and Bhuvneshwar in the middle. Tough task. SRH: 135/8 (19 overs)

22:59 (IST)17 Apr 2021
DOUBLE TROUBLE!

Calamitous! Two wickets fall in the same over and it's a body blow for Hyderabad! First, Abdul Samad (7) is sent back by yet another direct hit by Hardik. Two balls later, Boult traps Rashid (0)... takes the review and confirms it. SRH: 130/7 (18 overs)

22:48 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Shankar makes it rain sixes in Chennai!

Shankar comes to the rescue for Hyderabad as he hammers Krunal on back-to-back deliveries! Two humongous sixes, sent deep into the stands and that comes as a relief for the Orange Army. The equation? 31 runs from 24 balls now. SRH: 120/5 (16 overs)

22:43 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Hyderabad need 47 more runs from 30 balls

Ever since Warner's run out, SRH have lost their momentum. Chahar kept it tight with his bowling, picked up the wicket of Virat and now... he extends the agony to Abhishek Sharma. Milne with the catch. Hyderabad in real trouble now. SRH: 104/5 (15 overs)

22:37 (IST)17 Apr 2021
CAUGHT OUT!

Mumbai are well and truly in command right now, and it's Rahul Chahar again who's spinning a web in Chennai! Virat Singh falls for 11 as he fails to up the ante... his sliced shot lands straight in the hands of Suryakumar. Utter chaos. SRH: 102/4 (14.1 overs)

22:23 (IST)17 Apr 2021
SIX! FOUR! RUN OUT!

In an attempt to put a dampener on Chahar, Warner dislodged a mighty maximum on the first ball of the over. He brings back the boundaries and gets good support from rookie Virat Singh (6*). In the next over, the debutant takes on Pollard and hits him for four runs with a shot above De Kock's head. But all the recent effort goes down the drain as Hardik sends Warner back with a direct hit at the striker's end! The SRH skipper walks back on 36 from 34 balls. Is this the turning point of the contest? SRH: 90/3 (11.3 overs)

22:10 (IST)17 Apr 2021
WICKET!

And there's the second! Rahul Chahar strikes in his first over itself as Pandey (2) falls early! He has been under-fire for his lack of intent in the last two matches... and it's the same story again. Slices the shot and Pollard takes the catch. SRH: 71/2 (9 overs)

22:04 (IST)17 Apr 2021
HIT WICKET!

Mumbai get a lucky break! The devastative Bairstow is on his way back to the pavilion after his back foot disturbs the wickets. Krunal gets his first scalp of the night. The batsman departs after scoring 43 from 22 balls. Pandey up next. SRH: 68/1 (8 overs)

21:53 (IST)17 Apr 2021
SRH make merry in powerplay

Krunal is brought into the attack, and he gets purchase of the track early on. Warner and Bairstow continue pummelling the bowlers, 13 runs come off the over. Bumrah comes back and almost has an immediate impact... but no wicket. SRH: 57/0 (6 overs)

21:43 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Bairstow explodes

Bairstow is off in the 3rd over. Boult is put to the sword - three 4s and a six. 18 runs come off the over. A change of momentum in the match. Adam Milne bowls the 4th over. And Bairstow carries on the carnage. Tope edges running away for sixes now. A six smashed down the ground to follow.

SRH 42/0 after 4

21:32 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Tight start from MI

Two runs in the first over. Jasprit Bumrah starts the second over with another big appeal, this time for caught behind. The umpire is unmoved, MI Review. Another tight over. Three off it.

SRH 5/0 after 2

21:23 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Chase begins

The Hyderabad chase begins. Trent Boult bowls for MI, getting an LBW appeal against Warner off the first ball. Bairstow opens with Warner.

21:08 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Hyderabad need 151 runs to win!

Pollard never gave up on the fight and lead the charge single-handedly in the final over, hitting two sixes off the last two balls of the innings. His 22-ball 35* powers Mumbai to a respectable finish. Now, Hyderabad need 151 runs to win. MI: 150/5 (20 overs)

21:00 (IST)17 Apr 2021
WICKET!

After Shankar's horrific drop, Hyderabad finally get their wicket. Khaleel scalps his first wicket of the tournament this year as he sends Hardik back to the pavilion on just 7. His brother, Krunal, is up next. Can he provide the late push? MI: 131/5 (18.4 overs)

20:57 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Hardik, Pollard keep the fight going

There's the surge from Mumbai! Both the batsmen in the middle, Pollard and Hardik, know it very well how important it is to guide their team over 150 at least. Hardik takes on Bhuvi and edges one to the boundary rope. 11 runs off the over. MI: 126/4 (18 overs)

20:50 (IST)17 Apr 2021
CAUGHT BEHIND!

Just when Mumbai decided to go berserk in the death overs after Pollard ignited the innings with a massive 105 metre six, they are dealt another blow. Ishan (12) falls to Mujeeb as wicket-keeper Bairstow pulls off an excellent catch. MI: 114/4 (16.5 overs)

20:33 (IST)17 Apr 2021
WICKET!

Despite a four against Rashid, the Mumbai pair weren't comfortable under pressure. Mujeeb makes the most of it and tricks De Kock (40) into playing a rash shot... which lands in the hands of substitute Suchith. Body blow for Mumbai. MI: 98/3 (13.5 overs)

20:26 (IST)17 Apr 2021
De Kock ups the ante with a boundary

All spin for Hyderabad now. Mujeeb comes back to work in tandem with his national teammate. After he gives away five runs in his over, Rashid gets smacked for a cheeky reverse sweep by De Kock (34*). Nine runs off his third over. MI: 89/2 (12 overs)

20:20 (IST)17 Apr 2021
Hyderabad assume control of the innings

Owing to the two quick dismissals, Hyderabad assume the driving seat in the match. Rashid continues his spell and keeps both De Kock (24*) and Ishan (3*) in check. Just three runs off the over. Can SRH get more wickets in the middle overs? MI: 75/2 (10 overs)
